THERE IS NO PLANET B

In 2016, my mother passed away way too early at the age of 57. At the time, I decided to completely change course and pursue my dreams. I quit my job as a commercial consultant and started at the Fashion Akademie in Amsterdam. After 3 years, I launched my first 3 collections for my company Pavone Lingerie. From 2018, I stopped using panty liners and started wearing my bamboo underwear with 3 layer protection.

Ever since the delivery of my son, I have been suffering from drip incontinence. He was a 10 pounder and he came into the world through the normal route. Hallelujah, what a wonder of the world.

I was 28 and from then on lost urine during sports, lifting, sneezing, laughing, the daily routine. Always discreet was my brand and with a pack of 12 I managed to survive for three days. During the day I changed a panty liner every four hours and during the night I wore no protection. I was deeply embarrassed.

Because sometimes a simple calculation can bring some clarity regarding the complicated questions of life like; ‘what on earth am I doing’, or; ‘what am I doing all this for’ and ‘what is my purpose here on this planet’, a few delightful facts and trivia:

My consumer sum of panty liners: 3 bandages per day x 365 days in the year = 1095 panty liners : 12 per pack = 91.25 packs per year x €3.99 per pack = €364.09 per year. That's a minimum of 12 real Pavone's per year.

Did you know that an average Pavone slip stays nice and good for 3 years?

The average Dutch woman lives to be 83 years old. Because I stopped using panty liners from the age of 34, this means I make a cost saving over 49 years totalling: €17,840.41

In addition, the environmental impact is at least as important and interesting. Per year, I would consume 1095 inserts x 49 years = a saving of 53,655 inserts = HAPPY PLANET.

To make the math even more complete, I had the numbers of my regular customers calculated. These are now 10,000 regular Pavone customers.

With Pavone, 10,000 customers x an average of 1095 inserts = 10,950,000 inserts. On an annual basis, this means more than 10 million panty liners save the planet by using Pavone. How cool is that? I am beyond mega proud.

Will we go together for even more customers, cost savings and less impact on the planet? And the objection, ‘a panty liner is much cheaper, isn't it?’, is one I never want to hear again.
